2010 China Tour Team

FIrst Two Concerts Down.... How Many to Go???

Today we had our first two concerts and both went great. Everyone sounded awesome and we even had a few bumps along the way to the second performance one but we all came back together and had a great performance. God does answer prayers and has provided the group a little over $30,000 of the funding so far. We need $44,000 for the trip before March 28. So i would like to thank everyone who has donated so far! If you still would like to give please send in your monies soon.

We may have a few more concerts in the following weeks to help raise more money for the group. I will try to keep you posted on the blog.

Jesse

Today is the Big Day!!!

Today we have two concerts. The first concert is at Omaha Chinese Christan Church, We are playing during their church service in the morning. Then we are off to Community of Grace Church to setup for the concert at 1:30.

I hope my lips and lungs can hold out for two concerts in the same day! But I know with God's help anything is possible.

I better get things backed and in the car... Hope to see everyone at the concert.

So only $700 more to raise before next week. Feb 11! Please Pray that the Lord will bring in the first installment that i need. The final payment of $1400 will be due mid March...

Thanks to everyone one who is supporting me financially and with prayer. I really appreciate it.

New Prayer Request

Please pray for a 3/4 Tuba to become available for the trip. The tuba that Grace University is loaning me is a full size tuba which is 50 lbs with the case. After discussing travel logistics while in China it will be very hard to lug around a full size tuba. If anyone knows someone with a 3/4 tuba let me know. Thanks

First Practice Tonight

Well it finally happened...my first practice with the band!!! I got to meet all of the band members tonight and they were all great. They even forgave me for missing about 80% of my notes. OOPS! I have a lot of practicing to do between now and March 7th.

March 7th we have two Concerts in Omaha and i will post them here when i get the time and places.

I have also recently added a goal thermometer to keep everyone informed on how much money that has come in. I will update it as soon as the money comes in. Its on the right hand side you may have to scroll down to see it. The facebook page is up and running but I would prefer to only update the Blog since Facebook doesn't really allow me to put everything up like I want. I will try to put important information on Facebook as it comes in.

Thanks, Jesse

Getting Started

This last weekend and this week is a whirlwind of activity trying to get ready for this Band trip. I have decided to use digital media to reach more people faster due to my short time frames. See next few posts for more information about the Trip.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I am going to try to update this whenever possible. Surprisingly I am new to blogging, I know me the Tech Guy never blogged before, so forgive me if I make a few mistakes along the way.
